What is the RODISTAR Program?
The RodiumAi RODISTAR Program is a community initiative for people who want to help others discover AI and RodiumAi across Africa.
RODISTARs are volunteer ambassadors. They share tutorials, run workshops, answer questions, and grow local AI communities. They are not RodiumAi employees.
The goal is simple: make advanced AI infrastructure easier to access for African builders, including developers, students, founders, and creators.
Full program details: rodiumai.io/ambassador
Why join?
Africa's AI ecosystem is growing fast. Many developers still struggle with fragmented tools, foreign payment methods, and scattered documentation.
As a RODISTAR, you help close that gap. You also grow your own profile: leadership experience, public speaking, content creation, and a network of builders who share your passion.
RodiumAi gives back through RODI credits, early access, events, merchandise, and public recognition for active members.
Who can apply?
No professional experience required. What matters is motivation, consistency, and real community impact.
The program welcomes:
Software developers and AI enthusiasts
Students and campus leaders
Startup founders
Technical content creators (YouTube, blogs, threads)
Bootcamp organizers and community leaders
Open-source contributors and tech influencers
If you already explain AI to friends, run a dev group, or post technical content, you are a good fit.
What RODISTARs do
Your role adapts to your strengths. Typical activities include:
Community: Introduce RodiumAi to your network. Help developers sign up, create API keys, and run their first requests.
Education: Write tutorials, record demos, or host workshops on integrating AI into apps (Continue.dev, OpenCode, Python SDK, etc.).
Content: Share updates on LinkedIn, X, YouTube, or campus channels. Show real use cases, not hype.
Feedback: Report bugs, suggest features, and test beta releases before public launch.
Events: Organize meetups, webinars, or hackathon sessions around AI and RodiumAi.
You choose your pace. Some RODISTARs post weekly; others run one workshop per semester. Consistency beats volume.
Rewards and benefits
Referral credits (RODI)
Every RODISTAR gets a unique referral code.
When someone signs up with your code:
The new user may receive onboarding RODI credits
The RODISTAR earns referral rewards in RODI credits
Example from the current program: 50 RODI for the new user, 100 RODI for the RODISTAR. Reward amounts may evolve as the platform grows.
Use your credits to test models on rodiumai.io/models or share them with your community during demos.
Early access
RODISTARs may get beta features, product previews, private roadmap discussions, and access to internal community channels.
Events
Active members can be invited to online workshops, technical sessions, community calls, webinars, meetups, and future RodiumAi conferences.
Merchandise
Qualified RODISTARs may receive branded items: T-shirts, hoodies, stickers, notebooks, water bottles, laptop sleeves, and more.
Recognition
Outstanding contributors can be featured on RodiumAi platforms, highlighted in community spotlights, and recognized during launches and events.
Career growth
The program is built for people who want to practice leadership, improve technical communication, and expand their professional network, without claiming to be RodiumAi staff.
RODISTAR levels
RodiumAi may introduce progression levels over time, such as:
Explorer RODISTAR
Community RODISTAR
Campus RODISTAR
Lead RODISTAR
Regional RODISTAR
Higher levels can unlock extra benefits and responsibilities. Details are published on the program page.
